At any point, special tornado collector symbols can land on reels 1 and 5, and when they do, they’ll gather up any diamond symbols that are present and pay the combined total of their multiplier values as an instant prize.
To further enhance this exciting collection mechanic, multiplier-boosting scatter symbols can also appear on the slot’s central reels, with these contributing to a progressive multiplier metre that will increase the next tornado win by up to 5x before resetting to its standard starting amount.
Beyond this ever-present base game feature, Diamond Tornado also includes two further bonus rounds that speed the action up by several knots. Firstly, whenever tornado collector symbols land on reels 1 and 5, they’ll lock in place and players will be granted at least one respin during which only diamonds and blanks are present. Up to two further respins can be randomly added, and the multiplier meter may also increase by 1x, 2x, or even 10x if it’s the final spin of the feature.
Secondly, landing three bonus symbols will trigger 12 free games where only diamonds, boost symbols, extra spins and blanks appear. During the feature, the multiplier meter won’t reset after a tornado win, meaning all prizes can be multiplied by up to 10x, and players also have the option to buy into it directly for an additional stake or enter it by filling the bonus meter beneath the reels.
