Amaya set to offload remaining stake in Innova Gaming
Amaya Gaming has agreed a deal to sell its stake in former subsidiary business Innova Gaming Group to Canadian lottery services company Pollard Banknote.
According to the Reuters news agency, Pollard has made an unsolicited offer of C$42 million (€29.1 million/US$31.2 million) to take ownership of Innova.
Amaya currently owns 8.18 million shares in Innova, which represents 40.45% of the firm, and Pollard has agreed to make an all-cash offer of at least C$2.10 per share for the stake.
Formed in 2015, Innova proves technology to both state and provincial lottery operations.
Although Amaya has warned that there is no guarantee that the deal will go through, it has given its full backing to the Pollard bid.
Pollard has until May 8 to make a formal offer for the business.
