EveryMatrix has completed a private strategic investment round worth €4.3 million ($4.7 million) with Norwegian fund Strawberry Capital and a group of private individuals.

In a statement confirming the investment, EveryMatrix also revealed that various “high calibre profiles” have been added to its board as part of an effort to support the next stage of its expansion strategy.

Norbert Teufelberger, co-founder and long-time chief executive of bwin, joins the company as chairman, and will work with EveryMatrix founders to identify and implement strategic partnerships and opportunities.

Meanwhile, Anders Böös, former chairman of IFS, and Jan Gottlander, co-founder of Snow Software, have agreed to become non-executive board members.

“This is the first ever external investment into EveryMatrix; with more diverse skills and broader ownership at the board level, we are confident in executing our growth strategy and pursuing our long-term vision over the coming years,” EveryMatrix co-founder and chief executive Ebbe Groes said.

New chairman Teufelberger added: “Being part of bwin’s story since its inception was a wonderful experience for me and I look forward to assisting the founders and team of EveryMatrix in developing a blue chip B2B technology provider for the fast-expanding global iGaming market.

“After an extensive due diligence period, I was particularly impressed with the product vision and innovation capabilities and drive of the EveryMatrix team.”
