Storm Gaming Technology, the content developer, has announced a further injection of investment capital and strategic expertise from Intrinsic Equity.

Intrinsic Equity, a corporate finance specialist, joins an ownership group that, in addition to chief executive and founder Richard Sheldon and gaming industry veteran Steve Murray, also includes Sportingbet founder Mark Blandford’s Rockridge Investments.

As part of the investment, James Grenfell, principal at Intrinsic Equity, will join the Storm Gaming board. Grenfell has been involved in the gaming sector since the earliest days of Games Media almost 15 years ago, and recently advised on the sale of Core Gaming to Sky Betting & Gaming.

Grenfell said: “We have invested in Storm at an exciting time and look forward to helping Richard and Steve accelerate their plans as a global provider of multi-platform compelling games content.”

Sheldon said: “Through their long-standing relationship with Steve and their recent work with Core Gaming and Sky, James and his team at Intrinsic saw an opportunity to invest and support the business with their financial and sector knowledge. We are delighted to welcome them to the Storm Gaming Technology journey.”
