Kindred prepares for NJ launch with Mazooma partnership

Unibet brand can now accept payments from 100% of US bank accounts thanks to payment processor's real-time ACH solution

Kindred Group has bolstered its payments function in North America ahead of its New Jersey debut by partnering with Mazooma.

Kindred will use Mazooma’s eCheck Select automated clearing house (ACH) bank-verified service when its Unibet brand begins operations in New Jersey. The incorporation of eCheck Select allows Kindred to receive payments from 100% of consumer bank accounts in the US, with transactions verified in real-time.

“Our deal with Mazooma underlines our commitment to giving our customers excellent igaming experiences,” said Kindred senior vice president for the US market Manuel Stan.

The nationwide payments deal is another partnership for Kindred ahead of its New Jersey debut, expecetd to take place in the first quarter of 2019. Its Unibet New Jersey site will be operate under Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City's iGaming licence, with its online casino to be powered by SG Digital, and long-term partner Kambi providing sports betting technology.

Earlier this month Stan told iGamingBusiness.com that while New Jersey is Kindred’s priority in North America, Pennsylvania is “a very interesting opportunity.”

Nevada-based Mazooma is already working with operators such as MGM Resorts and GVC as well as technology suppliers including Scientific Games and Gamesys.

It launched in 2009, entered New Jersey in 2013, and by 2014 had integrated with every iGaming in the US, with eCheck Select then launched introduced in 2015.
