Microgame Group to acquire Active Games and Intent Software

Italy-facing Microgame Group has agreed a deal to acquire 100% of the shares of Active Games and sister company Intent Software.

Italy-facing Microgame Group has agreed a deal to acquire 100% of the shares of Active Games and sister company Intent Software.

Although terms of the agreement were not disclosed, Microgame said that the acquisition will create the “largest network of licensed operators in a regulated market”.

The combined operation will feature more than 120 websites, which serve over 200,000 monthly players.

Marco Castaldo, general manager of Microgame and now also chief executive of Active Games, said: “Active Games has deep knowledge of the market and an outstanding commercial team.

“We are convinced this deal will bring great benefits for the market, for customers, and especially for players who will benefit from enhanced liquidity and broader product choice.”

Manuel Raffanini of Active Games added: “We are excited to join forces with the Microgame Group; we share the same dedication to our customers.

“I am convinced that merging our liquidities and Microgame’s huge product range will create new growth opportunities for the operators in our network.”
