Play971, the United Arab Emirates’ first licensed online gambling platform, has signed content partnerships with global gaming suppliers IGT and Endorphina.

The deals, publicly announced on 21 July, enhanced Play971’s offering with IGT’s renowned PlayDigital catalogue and a curated selection of Endorphina’s themed slot games.

Philippa Bowland, Play971’s commercial gaming director, emphasised the company’s commitment to responsible gaming and high-quality entertainment in welcoming the two internationally respected providers.

“We are proud to welcome IGT and Endorphina — two globally respected brands — as we continue raising the standard for gaming.”

‘Market still in its early stages’

IGT highlighted its contribution of legacy titles such as Blackjack, Cleopatra™, and Cats™. Gil Rotem, CEO of Digital at IGT, described the partnership as one “rooted in innovation and integrity” designed to support the UAE market’s sustained growth.

Endorphina’s Senior Manager Partnerships & Expansion, Lohith Chittajallu, said: “It’s exciting to be part of a market still in its early stages”.

“We believe this partnership opens the door to new opportunities, and we can’t wait for players to experience the entertainment and quality that Endorphina is known for.”

Endorphina secured their gaming-related vendor license in May. Under this regulatory framework, Endorphina is permitted to offer gaming-related products and services across the Emirates, functioning within the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority’s compliance and oversight structure.

The inaugural licensed operator

Play971 launched late last year as the UAE’s inaugural licensed gambling operator

The platform has since moved swiftly to expand its content library and commercial activities, which include the recruitment of former Australian cricketer Brett Lee as a brand ambassador. It also launched its football betting offering to UAE-based customers last month.

Play971 received its license from the GCGRA, which was first established in 2023 to coordinate gambling regulation in the Emirates, including managing licensing.
