GiG pens global sportsbook deal with Betgenius
Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has entered a strategic partnership with Genius Sports Group’s Betgenius, that will see the pair offer a fully integrated sportsbook and platform solution for operators in regulated markets worldwide.
The arrangement will bring together GiG’s platform technology with Betgenius’ end-to-end live data, trading and risk management services.
Betgenius will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all sportsbook operations – including providing customisable pricing for pre-match and in-play sports – while GiG will provide its platform and front-end development services.
The two parties said the partnership should be up and running by the end of September, but also noted that they have signed a ‘heads of terms’ to supply a platform sportsbook software to a major operator in Latin America.
Terms of this agreement with this operator will be finalised before the end of the current month, with the deal to be based on a revenue share model with a minimum contract term of three years.
“Combined we will offer a highly competitive offering to the market, already proven by the signing of a heads of terms with a major operator,” GiG chief executive Richard Brown said. “The partnership will also further improve operational efficiency within our Sports segment.”
Genius Sports Group chief commercial officer Jack Davison added: “Not only do our technologies and specialist services dovetail perfectly to create a complete sportsbook platform solution, our values as highly compliant businesses who operate in a responsible way are very much aligned.”
