GiG rebrands Betspin as live casino affiliate portal

| By
Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has rebranded its online casino brand, Betspin.com, as a premier affiliate portal with an exclusive focus on live casino.

Founded in 2015, Betspin operated as an online casino until its closure in 2019. It relaunched on 9 November this year, offering players a guide to online live casinos available in their location.

The site offers a selection of bonuses and promotions for players looking for live blackjack, baccarat, roulette and poker. It also includes how-to guides for those who are new to live casino and wish to learn how to play.

Jonas Warrer, managing director of GiG Media said, “We are extremely excited to see Betspin rebranded and repositioned as a live casino affiliate website. It’s our first website that is exclusively dedicated to live dealer games, a highly valuable segment of online gaming that is expected to see further growth in the future.”

Results published last week showed that GiG’s pivot to B2B services brought financial benefits in Q3 2020, as revenue from its platform services division grew strongly and divestment in B2C assets allowed it to reduce net loss for the period.

Revenue for the three months through to 30 September amounted to €17.9m (£16.1m/$20.9m), up 77.2% from €10.1m in the same period last year. Platform services remained by far the main source of income for GiG in Q3, accounting for €9.1m of the Q3 total, an increase of 151.8% on the previous year.

Revenue from the media services (affiliate marketing) business increased 7.5% to €8.6m. GiG said the division benefitted from the easing of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) restrictions in core markets, as well as the resumption of sporting events.

The business continues to expand globally, receiving licences to offer services in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Colorado in 2020, as well as signing agreements to power the launch of Grupo Slots in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Casumo-owned Pay n Play casino, Mill of Magic.
