Games provider Design Works Gaming Group (DWG) has been granted a licence to provide real-money online games by the British Gambling Commission.

The supplier, which was founded in Arizona by Troy Zurawski in 2005, already provides land-based content to suppliers including Novomatic, Aristocrat, Konami and International Game Technology.

In addition, DWG operates five free-to-play casinos – Diamond Sky Casino, Spin Vegas Slots, Cash River Casino, Jade Diamond Casino and Super Scratcher Casino – which all offer proprietary content.

“We are delighted to have been granted our GB licence, which marks a very important milestone in our development as an international provider of casino content,” Andy Harris, chief executive of DWG UK, said.

DWG said that having secured the licence, it expects commercial agreements with operators to be signed in the coming months.

“Being licensed by the Gambling Commission is the start of an exciting period for DWG and we are confident that with our portfolio of varied and validated content we will hit the ground running as we look to gain serious traction on this side of the Atlantic,” Harris added.
