Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) secures approval from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR) to test and certify igaming systems operated by holders of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) licence.

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has become the first independent test laboratory to secure approval from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR) to test and certify online gaming systems operated by holders of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) licence.

The accreditation will now enable GLI’s online gaming clients to obtain access to the Filipino market, while other holders of a POGO licence can utilise the testing and certification service offered by GLI.

GLI was granted approval via its Asia-Pacific operations, led by GLI Australia.

Phil Harrison, senior manager regulation, compliance and quality assurance at GLI Australia, said: “PAGCOR is the Philippines’ national gaming regulator and, with the establishment of the POGO jurisdiction, regulates the largest number of online gaming operators in the APAC region.

“GLI is committed to the APAC region and will further that engagement through PAGCOR’s accreditation as an independent tester at its Adelaide, Sydney and Macau test facilities.”
