Italian operator HBG Gaming has secured the 11 online gaming licence in the regulated market of Colombia.

Colombian regulator Coljuegos this week awarded the licence to the company’s HBG Latam subsidiary, granting it approval to offer services in the country for a period of five years.

HBG Latam will offer online sports betting and a range of casino games under the AguiJuego brand, via a dedicated website in Colombia, Calvin Ayre said.

In addition, HBG will roll out a network of retail points of sale to support the new website.

Colombia moved to legalise online gaming in October 2016 and has since handed out a series of licences to a number of companies.

Codere, Colbet, Corredor Emperearial, GAMING1, Luckia, Sportium, Vicca Group and Wplay.co all hold licences in the South American country.
