Synot Games obtains UK supplier licence
The Czech Republic-headquartered developer will now be able to supply its games to players in the UK through the permit, which was awarded at the end of last month.
Synot, which develops content for both online and land-based operators, is already certified by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and works with partners across several European jurisdictions, including Italy, Spain and Greece.
Ivan Kodaj, Synot’s chief executive, said: “This is a huge step for us as a company. The UKGC is known to have strict regulations to comply with, so having the licence granted to us represents a significant step, which we took one day before Christmas.
“We are now able to integrate our slot offer with online casino operators in the UK and make them available to their players for the very first time.”
Synot said it is making new partnerships in the UK a strategic priority in 2021 following the licence award.
“Our sales team will now be focusing on branching out to UK-based customers,” Synot chief commercial officer Martina Hrabinská said. “Gaining as much exposure as possible to reach as many players as possible across the country will be their main goal for now. We are excited to launch our exceptional slot games across the UK.”
Synot Group was a major supplier to OPAP in Greece as it installed some 25,000 video lottery terminal (VLT) machines between 2017 and 2019.
It was awarded licences in Portugal, Denmark and Sweden in 2019.
