Sportradar Integrity Services has signed an extension to its integrity monitoring partnership with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motorsports.

Sportradar Integrity Services has signed an extended deal with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motorsport.

Under the multi-year agreement, Sportradar will continue to use its Fraud Detection System (FDS) to monitor and safeguard the integrity of the FIA’s various competitions, including the Formula One World Championship.

Sportradar will also run a series of integrity workshops to educate participants about potential integrity threats and how they can promote correct and ethical behaviours within professional motorsport.

In addition, the FIA will work with Sportradar to launch a dedicated e-learning tool and associated webpage platform, focused on integrity and protecting the sport.

“Safeguarding the integrity of motorsport worldwide is of paramount importance,” FIA head of governance, integrity and regulatory affairs Pierre Ketterer said. “By adopting this multi-faceted approach to integrity, we are confident that our competitions will continue to be run with ethical values at the forefront.”

Sportradar Integrity Services managing director Andreas Krannich added: “Our team will focus on safeguarding FIA competitions against integrity related threats through education, and will be driven by our market-leading FDS solution on race days.

“We look forward to working more closely with FIA in the years to come and continuing to play a part in upholding the integrity of some of the world’s best-loved motor sports championships.”

Sportradar has also recently signed an extended deal with the Rugby Football League, the national governing body for rugby league in England, as well as new agreements with Major League Baseball and the United Soccer League, both in North America.
