International Game Technology (IGT) has secured an extension to its long-term lottery products and services contract with the Michigan Lottery.

Under the four-year extension, which runs through to January 2021, IGT will provide the Lottery with additional self-service vending machines, as well as upgrades to the internal control system, relating operating system and application software that interfaces with the lottery central system.

IGT will also supply the Lottery with its ES Anywhere (ESA), which offers a host of solutions from Application Programming Interfaces (API) to customer software, such as mobile applications and web browsers.

In addition, IGT will continue its ongoing services including the maintenance of the Lottery’s central system, 11,000 Altura terminals, and communications network.

The extension also covers field services, retailer training, marketing support, call centre support services, as well as instant-ticket warehousing and distribution.

Michael Chambrello, chief executive of North America Lottery at IGT, said: “IGT is committed to providing products and services for sustainable lottery growth.

“To that end, we will continue to work closely with the Michigan Lottery to provide added convenience to its players and retailers through additional self-service lottery vending products and the use of evolving technology.”
