Intralot’s US subsidiary has agreed a two-year extension to its contract with the Ohio Lottery.

The agreement runs from July 1 this year to June 30, 2019, and is consistent with an existing agreement and the State of Ohio’s Controlling Board, covering the period 2009-2021.

Under the deal, worth an estimated $71m (€63.4m), Intralot will provide a central gaming system that delivers, manages, and accounts for all in-state and multi-state draw games, inventory control and logistics for the full complement of scratch games, ‘EZPLAY, ‘EZPLAY TAP’ and ‘QuicKeno’ games.

Further provisions include an additional 750 new online vending machines, as well as the ability to upgrade 1,100 MPs currently operational, cashless sales functionality at all vending terminals, and around 11,000 new Photon terminals with cashless functionality.

The agreement also includes three additional two-year renewal options in favour of the Ohio Lottery, with the potential to extend the partnership to June 2027.

John Donahue, chief executive of Intralot Inc. said: “We are very pleased and excited about this agreement with Ohio Lottery, this allows Intralot to continue to provide to one of our most valued customers Intralot’s leading gaming solutions.

“Our experienced US team will closely cooperate with the Ohio Lottery in the new period to help the Lottery meet its goals for responsible growth and greater returns for good causes.”
