UK-licensed LOT.TO has moved to expand its services into the African market by rolling out a suite of new, online lottery games.

Offered on a B2B basis, the games will allow consumers in Africa to play for and win full-scale prizes from some of the leading lottery draws around the world.

Games featured include the ‘Powerball’ and ‘Mega Millions’ from the US, as well as the UK’s ‘Lotto’ and Europe’s ‘Eurojackpot’ and ‘EuroMillions’.

Nigeria-based Western Lotto, an official partner of LOT.TO, is the first gambling company in Africa to offer the new games to players on the continent.

Rob Lawson, head of customer success at LOT.TO, said: “When the US Powerball jackpot reached a staggering $1.58bn (€1.32bn) in 2015, there was an unbelievable buzz and rollover frenzy in the air.

“Yet Africans haven't been able to take part, due to legislation and being priced out of the market; we have changed that.

“These LOT.TO games are designed so that all Africans can participate in these lotteries at an affordable level, experience the thrill of massive rollovers and win their share of these staggering prizes.”

Licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, LOT.TO’s risk management system handles all payment of all winnings and liability, and has plans to launch similar games in South America and Eastern Europe this year.
