Lottoland has agreed a deal to sponsor UK commercial broadcaster ITV’s new series of ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’, which returns this weekend.

The rebooted series will celebrate the 20th anniversary of when the programme was first broadcast by ITV.

Jeremy Clarkson, formerly of the BBC’s ‘Top Gear’, is taking over as host for the new series, replacing Chris Tarrant.

Contestants will also have access to a new ‘Ask the Host’ lifeline, when they can ask Clarkson how he would answer the question.

Nigel Birrell, chief executive at Lottoland, said: “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire has created five millionaires in its 20 year, so we are in the same business of giving people the chance to win big.

“We are looking forward to working with ITV and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on doing what we at Lottoland do best – giving players a fun and rewarding experience while they take their chance to become a millionaire.”
