NYX Gaming Group has signed a letter of intent to provide digital gaming content and player account management to Dutch national lottery operator Nederlandse Staatsloterij and its De Lotto brand, once the country legalises online gaming.

Although the Netherlands is yet to regulate such gaming activities, the country is widely expected to introduce legislation to legalise online gambling by next year.

In advance of regulation, NYX began talks with Nederlandse Staatsloterij and De Lotto, which merged in December of last year, regarding online gaming services.

Once regulation goes through, NYX will provide Nederlandse Staatsloterij and De Lotto with content and player account management via its Open Platform System (OPS).

Under the agreement, slots and scratchcard titles from NYX subsidiary NextGen Gaming will launch across Nederlandse Staatsloterij and De Lotto websites.

Matt Davey, chief executive of NYX, said: “It’s a privilege to be working with de Nederlandse Staatsloterij / De Lotto to bring NYX’s OPS platform and our market leading content to their soon to be merged business.

“As one of the few gaming content and platform providers with World Lottery Association Membership, we are well positioned to work in partnership with national lotteries across the globe.”
