Online gambling operator Betway has extended its official betting partnership with the UK’s showpiece horse racing event the Grand National Festival.

Betway will continue as the official betting partner to the race for a further five years, with the deal set to run from 2020 until 2024.

The operator will also retain title sponsorship of several races taking place at the Festival including the Betway Bowl, Betway Aintree Hurdle, Betway Top Novices’ Hurdle, Betway Mildmay Novices’ Chase, Betway Mersey Novices’ Hurdle and the Betway Handicap Chase.

Betway began its support of the Festival in 2017 when it signed a three-year deal to partner the meeting.

“The Grand National Festival is a fantastic event and we couldn’t be happier with how the last two years have gone,” Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said.

Dickon White, regional director for Jockey Club Racecourses North West, added: “Over the past three seasons, Betway has brought tremendous energy and enthusiasm to its role as official betting partner of the Grand National Festival and we look forward to continuing to work alongside all the Betway team.”

This year’s Grand National Festival begins today (April 4) and runs through until April 6, with the showpiece Grand National race set to take place at 5:15pm on the final day at Aintree in Liverpool, England.
