bwin extends with Atlético Madrid
bwin has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Spanish La Liga football club Atlético Madrid.
The deal will run for a further two seasons, from 2018-19 to 2019-20.
bwin will remain as the team’s official partner for online games and betting and also benefit from branding placement on advertising boards during all Atlético home games.
The two parties began their relationship in February of last year and have so far worked on a series of joint initiatives, such as integrating the bwin brand into the club’s various digital assets.
Other activities have included offering unique club experiences to fans and bwin having access to players for marketing purposes.
Pablo Ferreira, head of marketing at bwin, said: “The association of bwin with Atlético de Madrid is in good health and for us it was a priority to ensure its continuity.
“We could not have chosen a better time to announce this renewal now that we celebrate the third Europa League win for the team; we hope to continue growing and making history with Atleti for many more years.”
