Online betting operator CasadeApostas.com has secured deals to sponsor four leading football teams in Brazil, brokered by Sportradar.

The agreement applies to top-tier Campeonato Brasileiro Série A clubs Bahia, Botafogo, Cruzeiro and Santos. The length and terms of the deals were not disclosed.

CasadeApostas.com will now benefit from additional exposure through the shirt sponsorship agreement, as well as access to a tailored package of rights at each club, including a range of digital and activation opportunities.

The operator, as a customer of Sportradar's betting services division Betradar, was able to broker the deal through the supplier's ad:s marketing subsidiary. Launched in January this year, ad:s provides a range of marketing services to betting operators, including consulting services to help set up sponsorship agreements with sports teams.

“CasadeApostas.com is a brand with ambitious plans for our home market; we look forward to working with the clubs and Sportradar to further activate these partnerships together and bring excitement to football fans around Brazil,” CasadeApostas.com director of marketing, Hans Schleier, said.

Hampus Lofkvist, director of global sponsorship at Sportradar, added: “This is a major move that will enhance the brand’s visibility and connect them with fans throughout Brazil and the wider continent.

“Partnerships such as this give us further confidence that Sportradar ad:s will continue to support bookmakers around the world with their marketing efforts.”

The move comes after Brazil in December of last year moved to ratify legislation paving the way for the country’s National Congress to implement sports betting regulations for the first time.

Signed off by former president Michel Temer, Provisional Measure 846/18 formalises plans for the distribution of revenue raised through the country’s national lottery Loterias Caixa, as well as setting a two-year window in which Congress can develop and pass sports betting controls.
