D88.com to sponsor snooker’s European Masters

Asia-facing D88.com has agreed to become title sponsor of snooker’s European Masters world ranking event.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the agreement will be in place for this year’s contest that runs from October 1-7 in Lommel, Belgium.

The event, which will be known as the D88.com European Masters, will feature a number of leading names such as Mark Selby, Mark Williams, Neil Robertson, John Higgins and Mark Allen.

D88.com also sponsors snooker’s German Masters in Berlin.

“D88.com are doing everything in our power to support snooker, as we love the sport; we will work closely with the snooker world to present more excellence in the near future,” D88.com commercial director Dara Qin said.

World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn added: “We are very pleased to welcome D88.com on board for the European Masters; this is an extremely prestigious tournament contested by the world’s leading players at a superb venue.”
