Kristof Fahy has taken up his new role as chief marketing officer at Ladbrokes.

Fahy, who was confirmed in the role last October, will now assume responsibility for brand and marketing activity across the firm’s digital and retail businesses.

He joins the bookmaker from the Telegraph Media Group, where he had been serving as chief marketing officer.

Fahy also previously served as chief marketing officer at William Hill.

“Ladbrokes has an extremely strong brand and I'm looking forward to building upon that strength with our marketing, advertising and sponsorship activity,” Fahy said.

Jim Mullen, chief executive of Ladbrokes, added: “ Our products are now better than or at least on a par with the best in the market and we need to get more recreational customers on board.

“Kristof has an excellent track record in this area and he has the expertise and the fire-power to get the Ladbrokes brand seen in more places more often.”
