Huddersfield signs shirt sponsorship deal with Ope Sports
Online gaming company Ope Sports has agreed a deal to become the new main shirt sponsor of Huddersfield Town, which recently won promotion to the English Premier League top-tier club football competition.
Terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that Ope Sports branding will appear on the front of Huddersfield’s playing jerseys during the 2017-18 campaign.
Next season, Huddersfield will play in the Premier League for the first time in its history, after gaining promotion to the top flight via the Championship play-offs.
“The growth of our international fanbase since promotion and the Premier League makes Ope Sports an attractive partner for our club, and our growing reach around world provides Ope Sports with an ideal platform to continue its own growth,” Huddersfield chairman Dean Hoyle said.
An Ope Sports spokesman said: “The Premier League is undoubtedly the biggest league on the planet and to be associated to it through our partnership with the Terriers is great for our brand.”
