Ladbrokes has renewed its title sponsorship of the World Grand Prix and Players Championship snooker world ranking events.

The extended deal will run for two years, from 2017 to 2018.

The 2017 Ladbrokes World Grand Prix will run from February 6-12 at the Guild Hall in Preston, England, while the Ladbrokes Players Championship takes place from March 6-12 at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Wales.

Ladbrokes sponsored both events for the first time last season.

“We are thrilled to have Ladbrokes on board for another two years for these two extremely prestigious events; Ladbrokes has been a fantastic supporter of snooker over many years,” World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn said.

“The exposure they will gain through extensive coverage on free-to-air television will be outstanding.”

Kristof Fahy, chief marketing officer at Ladbrokes, added: “We’re incredibly passionate about sport at Ladbrokes and it’s great to have the World Grand Prix and Players Championship as part of our extensive sponsorship portfolio for another two years.”

Ladbrokes also recently extended a commercial deal with the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) in Australia and struck a partnership with the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).
