OPAP has renewed its sponsorship deal with Superleague Greece football club AEK Athens.
The one-year extension will cover the 2017-18 season.
OPAP will serve as a ‘grand sponsor’ of the club and benefit from a presence on official club communications, as well as on the team’s official website.
AEK Athens finished fourth in the 2016-17 Superleague Greece season and went on to win the end-of-season play-offs, which meant the team progressed to the third qualifying round of the 2017-18 Uefa champions League.
Although AEK Athens lost 3-0 on aggregate to Russian team CSKA Moscow and did not progress further in the competition, the club will play in this season’s Europa League.
