Sky Bet has agreed a deal to become the official betting and gaming partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club in England.

The agreement will run for an initial three years, with Sky Bet to use the new partnership to build greater awareness of its online and mobile betting services.

Sky Bet, which is based in the Yorkshire city of Leeds, will also benefit from a portfolio of assets related to branding, hospitality, match tickets and digital advertising.

“Sky Bet is one of the UK’s largest and most respected betting and gaming companies and their ability to innovate and push boundaries are important values we share,” Yorkshire’s commercial director Andy Dawson said

“They are committed in helping us add to the matchday experience, whether watching at Headingley (Yorkshire’s home stadium) or following via other digital platforms.”

Richard Flint, chief executive of Sky Bet, added: “Yorkshire has been our home ever since we were founded back in 2001 so we are thrilled to be backing our local team.

“It is an exciting time to get involved and we are looking forward to being part of Yorkshire’s continued success on and off the pitch.”
