Stars Group has launched a special promotion that will offer customers the chance to win a jackpot prize of £100m (€113.23m/$135.7m) during this summer’s Fifa World Cup.

The ‘Stars £100 Million Challenge’ is the company’s first official cross-vertical, multi-market promotion to run across its PokerStars, BetStars and PokerStars Casino brands.

Players will be tasked with predicting the outcome of all 64 games during the national team tournament.

Should a customer successfully predict the results of all matches in a win-lose-draw format, they could win up to £100m.

The player that correctly predicts the next highest number of match results will scoop a prize of £10,000 as well as a Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship place in the Bahamas in January 2019.

First entry into the promotion is free and will close the day before the World Cup kicks off in Russia, but the contest will be limited to players in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and the UK, excluding the Isle of Man and Gibraltar.

To support the promotion, Stars Group has signed up former cricket star turned television presenter Freddie Flintoff as a brand ambassador, while Danish comedian Casper Christensen and Swedish celebrity chef Per Morberg will front the contest in the Nordic regions.

Rafi Ashkenazi, chief executive of Stars Group, said: “This summer we’re living up to our ambition of becoming the world's favourite iGaming destination by offering our customers the chance to win one of the biggest prizes in sports betting history.

“The Stars £100 Million Challenge will also allow us to become part of the enormous global betting interest in the World Cup and will make The Stars Group the place to be while watching the action this summer.”
