Australian betting company Tabcorp has entered into a partnership with mixed martial arts promoter the Ultimate fighting Championship (UFC).

Under the multi-year deal, the firm’s TAB.com.au website will serve as the official betting and wagering partner of the UFC in Australia, while the operator will also become the presenting sponsor for all UFC live events in the country.

All UFC athletes will feature a TAB.com.au logo on their fight kit, while the firm will also benefit from branding on UFC’s digital and social media platforms.

The partnership will launch with the UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Jacare 2 on November 27 at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

“We are delighted to be in business with TAB.com; we look forward to working with them as we continue to grow our sport not only in Australia, but around the world,” UFC executive vice-president and general manager for Australia, New Zealand and Canada, Tom Wright, said.

Craig Nugent, chief operating officer wagering and media at Tabcorp, added: “TAB.com.au is proud to be the first Australian-owned and operated UFC partner; this partnership reflects UFC’s growing popularity among our customers.”
