William Hill is to sponsor the upcoming IBF World Heavyweight boxing match at the O2 between unbeaten fighters Anthony Joshua and Charles Martin.

Due to take place on April 9 in London, Martin will be making the first defence of the IBF title he won against Vyacheslav Glazkov in January.

Confirmation of the agreement comes after William Hill also announced that it will sponsor this weekend’s Super-Bantamweight unification clash between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg.

“Martin v Joshua is going to be one of the biggest sporting events this spring and we’re thrilled to be associated with it,” William Hill’s chief marketing officer Alex O’Shaughnessy said.

Eddie Hearn, managing director of Matchroom Sport, added: “Martin v Joshua is going to be a mega Heavyweight title showdown and we’re delighted to have a real heavyweight global brand like William Hill on board.”
