Turbatu’s new role took effect yesterday (24 July).

She had previously held the role of CTO at BeyondPlay. Turbatu had spent 19 months at the B2B start-up, which develops engagement software for online gaming operators.

Prior to her time at BeyondPlay, she worked for more than five years at Playtech, finishing up as head of the business’ Innovation Lab and Marketplace. Earlier in her career, Turbatu served for more than a year at BetVictor.

In a LinkedIn post, Turbatu said she was “thrilled” to embark on her new role at Casumo.

“I am truly looking forward to collaborating with the talented team here, getting to know each member and their exceptional work and leveraging my experience to drive innovation and contribute to the remarkable success of the company,” she added.

Hiring spree

The arrival of Turbatu is just the latest major appointment by Casumo so far this year as the operator has reshuffled its management team.

Last month, Janice Duncan, formerly of Rank Interactive, was hired as group chief financial officer.

In March, the operator brought in industry veteran Francesco Postiglione as its new group chief executive.
