Catena Media has appointed Pia-Lena Olofsson as its new chief financial officer.

Olofsson, currently chief financial officer of the company’s Catena Operations subsidiary, will replace Claes Wenthzel.

Wenthzel has resigned from the role due to family reasons, but will continue to work with the company until March 2018, whereupon Olofsson will take up the position on a permanent basis.

Prior to her time with Catena, Olofsson was chief financial officer and head of investor relations at digital bank Collector AB.

Henrik Persson Ekdahl, acting chief executive of Catena, said: “We are incredibly pleased to welcome Pia-Lena to the team at Catena Media; her previous experience as CFO in OMX Large-Cap listed companies will be an important asset for us on our continued ambitious growth journey.

“At the same time, I would like to thank Claes Wenthzel for his time in the company, wishing him all the best for the future.

“We are happy that we get to keep Claes in the company during a transition period.”
