The Gaming Standards Association (GSA) has elected Earle Hall, chief executive of AxesNetwork, to chair its new Blockchain Committee.

Announced in February in partnership with GSA Europe, the committee has been established to collaboratively address blockchain technology and advise on areas where standards could be developed.

The GSA said that the charter for the new committee has now been approved and has slated its next meeting for discussion over the matter for April 10, which will be hosted in London, England, by Playtech.

“Blockchain is the answer to so many of our inefficiencies; it is inherently designed for transparent, secure and distributed information flow,” Hall said.

“Blockchain will exponentially increase the potential for collaboration, efficiency and connectivity.

“I am very grateful to the membership for their vote of confidence with respect to my nomination.”

GSA president Peter DeRaedt added: “We are very thankful to have someone with the vision, in-depth knowledge and exceptional drive that Earle brings to GSA.

“He will lead us into this new realm of technology that will affect every aspect of our evolution.”
