Nektan bolsters expansion plans
Nektan has brought in Jaydeep Chakravartty to help drive the company’s expansion in the EMEA and Asia regions as the B2B and white label gaming software and services provider’s new vice-president of commercials.
Chakravartty joins the company from Ingenuity Gaming, where he held the position of commercial director for six years. He also previously worked as a manager at Ladbrokes Retail before becoming operations manager at Ladbrokes eGaming and then business project manager at 32Red.
His CV also includes spells at Isle of Man-based Cozy Games and India-based firm Ibibo Group.
Chakravartty will be responsible for sales and account management across Nektan’s B2B and White Label divisions, enhancing relationships with partners and suppliers.
“With a flourishing White Label division complemented with B2B now delivering significant revenue streams, I’m looking forward to building on Nektan’s recent success and further expanding our international reach,” said Chakravartty, who is attending ICE Africa this week in Johannesburg, South Africa.
His arrival comes just days after Nektan signed its biggest B2B deal to date with the tech company to provide its casino platform to BetVictor.
Under the agreement, Nektan has integrated its B2B E-Lite casino platform into the BetVictor casino offering. E-Lite will distribute slots and table games content across three major BetVictor casino brands.
Nektan confirmed to iGamingBusiness.com that this is the first time it will be working with an operator the size of BetVictor. The company billed the deal as a “landmark win” for its B2B business.
Nektan’s interim CEO, Gary Shaw, who will be replaced at the helm by Lucy Buckley on December 3, said: “Jaydeep arrives at an exciting period of growth for the business, following our landmark B2B partnership with leading operator BetVictor.
“His proven track record of business development and his extensive knowledge of the online gaming industry will be pivotal as we continue to grow the company.”
Chakravartty’s work in Asia will be of particular interest after Nektan cited “rapidly accelerating demand…especially in Asia” after posting a 48.1% increase in net gaming revenue for the 12 months through to June 30 this year.
Nektan believes it is benefiting from the continent’s transition to a multi-vendor market for operators from a single-solution outlook.
In March, Nektan started offering its B2B gaming platform, Evolve Lite, in Asia for the first time through a partnership with Tyche Digital Malta Limited.
At the start of this month, Nektan revealed that it is reviewing offers to invest in its US business.
