In his new role, Johnson will oversee sales and operating activities in the EMEA, with the overall aim of pursuing growth opportunities and ensuring best in class practices for the region.
Johnson has been with Scientific Games for four years, initially serving as its UK commercial director, focusing on sales, product management, marketing and business intelligence.
More recently, Johnson has led the UK arm’s response to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Prior to his time with Scientific Games, Johnson worked across a range of businesses and industries, having started out in investment banking.
Johnson also held leadership roles in private equity, telecommunications, and financial technology businesses, where he gained significant experience leading sales and operational teams.
The appointment comes after Scientific Games this week named Jim Bombassei as senior vice president of investor relations, in a dual role that also covers its free-to-play gaming subsidiary SciPlay Corporation.
