| By Robert Fletcher
Online gambling content supplier White Hat Studios has promoted Andy Whitworth to the role of chief executive as the business pursues US growth.

Whitworth had been serving as chief commercial officer at White Hat but will now assume the position of CEO, with a remit to expand its presence in the US market.

Prior to joining White Hat in 2021, Whitworth spent 18 months with NetEnt, serving as chief strategy officer, UK managing director and chief commercial officer for Europe and the Americas.

Whitworth also had a three-year spell with Entain, first working as head of content and commercial management for casino before going on to become director of commercial management.

Whitworth’s other roles during his 19-year career in the industry included head of gaming strategy for Tatts Group and head of content strategy for Scientific Games.

“Our goal is to become one of the top game suppliers in the US market, bringing not only high-quality content, but also high-quality service to our customers,” Whitworth said.

“We have been going at an unprecedented speed, so it was important for us to follow up by carefully selecting the right people and build an industry-leading team at White Hat Studios.

“Combined with an exceptional portfolio of games, including our very own Jackpot Royale mechanic, which will inject life into the current online jackpot offering, as well as massive brands like Ted, Deal or No Deal and many more, we are very confident to hit our ambitious targets and shake up the market.”
