Playtech shareholders accept Aristocrat bid

Sky Betting & Gaming has named Adam Brickell, formerly of gambling strategic consultancy Regulus Partners, as its new director of external affairs.

Brickell had been serving as a partner at the Regulus consultancy since February 2017, where he worked with various operators, start-ups, suppliers, regulators and governments across gambling and related industries.

Prior to his time at Regulus, Brickell spent more than six on the legal team at the British Horseracing Authority (BHA).

His most recent role at the BHA was as director of integrity, legal and risk, a position he held from December 2012 to September 2016. Brickell was part of the executive management team with oversight of areas such as racing integrity, legal matters, complaint-handling, anti-doping initiatives and licensing.

Brickell also served as head of legal and compliance at the BHA from September 2010 to December 2012, having previously worked as legal affairs manager for nine months from January to September 2010.

SB&G was acquired by The Stars Group in July of this year, with the deal granted final approval from the UK’s Competitions and Market Authority inOctober.
