Scout Gaming and BtoBet sign fantasy distribution deal

Daily fantasy supplier Scout Gaming Group has signed a distribution deal with sportsbook supplier BtoBet, to provide its full product offering to BtoBet’s network of operators.

Scout’s software has already been integrated into BtoBet’s platform through an existing partnership with one client, and the software will therefore be made immediately available to third parties operating on BtoBet’s Neuron3 platform.

“We are pleased to add another strong distribution platform to our already broad network of partners,” Scout chief commerical officer Joakim Renman commented. “We had a successful co-operation with BtoBet and looking forward to expand it”.

BtoBet’s chief marketing officer, Sabrina Soldà, added: “We are happy to add the market leading DFS and fantasy sports supplier to our product portfolio of games. We are experiencing an increasing demand for additional sport content and believe that Scout Gaming’s product fits that need in a pleasant way”.

It was announced in last week that Aspire Global had inked a deal to acquire BtoBet for an initial €20m (£18.3m/$23.6m), allowing Aspire to expand its business into the sportsbook vertical.

BtoBet recently signed a partnership with Toplay, expanding its footprint across emerging markets in Latin America. During the first six months of 2020, the supplier generated revenue of €3.1m, while EBITDA came to €1.2m. In 2019, it generated revenue of €4.4m and EBITDA of €1.5m.

In April, during an international professional sport shutdown caused by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Scout Gaming Group launched a new esports betting platform, to be rolled out with certain partner sites, including the likes of Fanteam, Greece’s Stoiximan, Strendus in Mexico and Bethard in Sweden.

In July, Scout raised SEK75m (€7.3m/$8.3m) through the issuance of 1.84m shares through a book-building procedure that was authorised at its annual general meeting on 25 May.

At the time, chief executive Andreas Ternström described the company as being in an “intensive growth phase”.
