13 May: Where’s the action?
iGB, in partnership with sports data specialist Abelson Info, is providing an updated list of the sporting events taking place each weekday throughout the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Today’s (13 May) round-up begins once again with badminton, and Armenia’s Infinity Cup.
The baseball competitions in action are unchanged from yesterday, with China’s Professional Baseball League, its reserves and South Korea’s Baseball Championship all playing.
The next 24 hours sees Cameroon’s Championnat National and Chinese Taipei’s Super Basketbal League play.
The Czech Premier League joins the Icons of Darts Live League and PDC Home Tour in today’s schedule.
Aside from the Turkmenistan Premier League and Youth League, the only footballing action will be club friendlies.
For the first time since the round up began, we have golf outside of Arizona, with the first round of South Korea’s KLPGA Championship beginning. Back in Arizona, the Scottsdale AZ Open moves into its second round.
Racing takes place across 17 tracks in Australia. It is joined by Cambridge and Addington in New Zealand, and action at Flordia’s Derby Lane and Palm Beach in the US.
Today sees racing at 13 tracks in Australia, and an expanding calendar from other territories. Other countries holding races are Denmark, Japan, Sweden, the US, Norway, Hong Kong and France.
No change in the ice hockey schedule, with short form events in Russia’s Liga Pro and Comet Division.
While the Ultimate Fighting Championship has resisted suspension more than other sports, it has tended to take place at the weekend, and was therefore not captured by the round-up. It makes its debut today, however, with UFC Fight Night 175.
Armenia’s ITT Cup League; Brazil’s Exhibition Autumn League; China’s Liga Pro; Germany’s Challenger Series; Russia’s Liga Pro, and Ukraine’s Setka Cup, Win Cup and TT Cup are all in action.
The next 24 hours brings action from Belarus, Russia and the US.
The roundup closes on Russia’s Liberty League.
This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and all events are subject to change.
