DNA Dynamics has revealed plans to develop a new sports betting platform with a focus on the US, after the recent Supreme Court ruling.

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court voted in favour of overturning the federal 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), which blocked more states from legalising sports betting.

The ruling will enable states across the US to individually pass legislation to legalise and regulate sports wagering within their boundaries.

DNA is now looking to capitalise on this opportunity by rolling out a new sports betting platform, with its DNA Interactive starting work on an online wagering service.

Carl Grant, chief executive of DNA, this week told company shareholders: “We have been patiently building our cash reserves and our game plan over the past few months and are now in a position to take the market by storm.

“This latest forecast change in legislation in the US is a game changer and has aligned with our plans perfectly.

“Our strategy in this area is to build an online betting platform that allows players to create their own betting scenarios; where groups of users can wager against one another in all major sporting competitions.

“We are very excited to be able to bring this news to you and, as we progress through the development, I will make sure that you are regularly updated on all elements of the development.”
