Sports betting and daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has launched a new product designed to help customers place fast, in-game wagers during tennis matches.

Released in time for the Wimbledon Grand Slam event, which begins today (July 1), Flash Bet will allow punters to bet in-play between points in a given match.

Once the customer has placed their wager via the Flash Bet tab on the DraftKings Sportsbook, they can view a timeline of their bets and receive any payouts seconds after the end of each specific play.

For punters betting on Wimbledon, embedded match graphics will show the ball as it moves across the court in real-time, with descriptions of the service, points won and court type

Initially, the Flash Bet service will launch exclusively for betting on tennis.

“Live wagering is already widely popular today, but also represents a crucial part of the customer experience and engagement tomorrow,” DraftKings’ senior vice president of product research and development Jordan Mendell said. “Short of playing on the court themselves, we are wholly invested in bringing our customers as close as possible to Wimbledon this year, while also giving them a taste of the lightning-quick innovations to come.”

Although the main rounds of Wimbledon take place in London, UK from July 1-14, qualifying matches for the championships began on June 24.
