Ladbrokes Australia has become the first wagering operator to employ TopBetta Holdings’ The Global Tote service.

The Global Tote is a wholesale tote product that enables operators to participate in a global pool, with the service to now be integrated into the Ladbrokes.com.au platform.

The Australian arm of the Ladbrokes Coral Group will be able to offer its customers odds from The Global Tote as a replacement to existing tote derivative products.

TopBetta already holds a licence from Alderney and recently secured approval from Australian regional racing bodies in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.

The company expects to launch The Global Tote next month.

“We are always looking for an edge and ways to value add through better products and services to our customers,” Ladbrokes Australia chief executive Dean Shannon said.

“The Global Tote is a solid initiative with significant upside for operators as well as delivering more choices to clients seeking the best odds; we look forward to kicking off as soon as possible.”

Todd Buckingham, chief executive of TopBetta, added: “It’s exciting that The Global Tote has its first big corporate bookmaker on board and this new tote will enhance wagering outcomes for not only Ladbrokes Australia, but operators, punters and racing bodies on a global scale.

“This is another key step along the journey for The Global Tote; having one of Australia's largest and fastest growing bookmakers on board really supports what we believe is the most disruptive product in wagering.”
