LeoVegas has moved to enhance its position in the Danish market by launching a new sports betting platform in the country.

‘LeoVegas Sport’ will offer approximately 100,000 betting games each day across more than 40 different sports.

The launch comes shortly after LeoVegas acquired a licence for sports betting in Denmark – where the operator already offers casino services.

Gustaf Hagman, group chief executive of LeoVegas, said: “The launch of LeoVegas' casino has been very successful and LeoVegas has established itself as a brand in Denmark.

“We see a clear growth potential for sports and strengthening, with today's launch, our offer in the Danish market; our goal is to offer Denmark's fastest and most engaging sports gaming experience.

“In parallel with the launch of sport, we have invested in our live casino, where we now offer the market’s best live experience with the widest product range and exclusive tables for LeoVegas customers.

“With these launches, we strengthen LeoVegas’ offer in the Danish market.”

Ian Freeman, chief commercial officer of Kambi, which worked with LeoVegas to develop the new platform, added: “Kambi and LeoVegas have worked closely to ensure the product could launch as soon as LeoVegas received its licence and the end result perfectly illustrates the potential operators have to innovate and differentiate using the Kambi technology in regulated markets.”
