Perform Group has extended a media and betting data deal with Football DataCo, the business that manages and commercialises match data for the English Premier League, English Football League and Scottish Professional Football League.

The agreement will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.

Perform’s Opta and RunningBall will continue as the official media and betting data partners of the eight professional leagues and competitions covered by Football DataCo, with exclusive global distribution rights.

Official accreditation at stadiums will allow RunningBall and Opta to continue to collate real-time data and facilitate services across broadcast graphics and production workflows, digital data visualisations, fantasy and gaming concepts.

Ross MacEacharn, chief executive Perform Content, said: “Our Opta and RunningBall operations are well-known market leaders in their business sectors, respectively media and betting.

“Our clients will be pleased that we will continue the distribution of this data for a further three years beyond the current term.”
