Consumer sports data and igaming affiliate platform QL Gaming Group (QLGG) has completed the acquisition of online global tennis community TennisInsight.

QLGG said the deal would enable it to expand the capabilities of its BetQL sports betting analytics platform for casual bettors to include both men’s and women’s professional tennis.

TennisInsight specialises in crowdsourcing data for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), Davis/Fed Cup, Challenger and International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The statistics website has data on all 550,00 professional matches since the year 2000, including player ratings, while TennisInsight also holds over 400,000 user-generated predictions.

In addition, the acquisition deal includes QLGG taking ownership of a proprietary motorsports database, which, built over a 19-year period, features over 600,000 records from events such as Nascar, Formula 1 and IndyCar.

“We envision BetQL as an all-in-one platform where users can find insightful data for all sports,” QLGG chief executive Justin Park said. “We’ve learned that the best way to offer an authentic experience around a particular sport is to partner with a business whose sole focus is that sport.

“We can’t think of a better partner than Ulysses Oliver and TennisInsight to power BetQL’s tennis product.”

The deal comes after QLGG in May also acquired Finnish sports forecasting company Accuscore.

Founded in 2009, Accuscore uses simulations to forecast results in major sports contests such as the NFL, NBA and NHL.
