SIS expands into Swedish thoroughbred racing

SIS has struck a deal with Svensk Galopp to show Swedish thoroughbred racing in the UK and Ireland for the first time.

Under the agreement, SIS will broadcast live 11 races from the inaugural meeting at the new Bro Park racecourse on June 19.

SIS overlay media rights-holder Svensk Galopp’s coverage of the races and offer English commentary, as well as a race day betting service with fixed odds and full race card coverage in the Racing Post betting shop display.

Brent Dolan, head of horseracing content at SIS, said: “We’re excited to bring this prestigious fixture of Swedish thoroughbred racing to our customers for the first time and, having never covered any type of horse racing from Sweden, we’re looking forward to customer feedback on the coverage of the Bro Park meeting and the interest it generates.”
