Sky Bet has launched a new online sportsbook in Germany via a partnership with SBTech.

The Skybet.de platform will make use of SBTech features such as pricing, trading and risk management services.

Skybet.de will also include a number of German-focused features, including price boost feature 'Quoten boost' and local payment methods such as Sofort.

Richard Carter, chief executive of SBTech, said: “The launch of Sky Bet in Germany consolidates SBTech’s position as the leading supplier of sports betting solutions to premium operators worldwide.

“We look forward to continuing our relationships with the teams at Sky Bet and are confident they will succeed in building impressive market share in Germany.”

SBTech and Sky Bet first announced details of the German-focused link-up in September.

Speaking at the time of the original agreement, Jochen Weiner, managing director of Sky Bet Germany, said: “We’re very happy to be going live in this key EU market, following an excellent collaborative process between the Sky Bet and SBTech teams these past few months.

“Our growth strategy is focused on agility and technological innovation, which made SBTech a perfect fit for us, and we’re now looking forward to offering our German customers superior localised products, content and payment methods.”
