Stats Perform snaps up betting video rights to Scottish football
Under the long-term agreement, Stats Perform will distribute live video streams to licensed international sportsbooks outside the UK. The deal marks the first time the provider will offer Scottish football video content.
The partnership covers the top-tier men’s Premiership and Women’s Premier League. It also includes games across the Championship and League One, as well as the Scottish League Cup, SPFL Trust Trophy and the SWPL Cup.
Content will be available via the Stats Perform Bet LiveStreams video service. The provider did not disclose the length of the new deal.
“Innovative” step for Scottish football
SPFL group chief executive Neil Doncaster welcomed the partnership. He said it will allow fans to “tap into a wealth of innovation” within the sports betting sector.
“Stats Perform’s team and technologies are trusted by top sports federations globally, as well as billions of fans,” Doncaster said. “Their experience as pioneers of live sports streaming for licensed sportsbooks means our fans also tap into a wealth of innovation in that world.”
SWPL managing director Fiona McIntyre added: “This partnership represents an innovative step and another milestone for the SWPL. It is the first partnership of its kind in respect of women’s football in Scotland. We are delighted to be working with Stats Perform.”
Stats Perform chief betting officer Andrew Ashenden also spoke highly of the new deal. He said the addition of SPFL and SWPL competitions further strengthens its Bet LiveStreams offering.
“The SPFL group, with SPFL and SWPL competitions, brings another heavyweight set of well-timed, high-octane football betting rights into our package. Its teams, players and historic rivalries are very popular with global fans.
“SPFL and SWPL games sit perfectly alongside our top calibre competitions from England, Spain, Italy and many more sides, making our AI-enriched service critical to any licensed sportsbook globally that has football fans as customers.”
An expanding portfolio for Stats Perform
Stats Perform also works with a host of other football leagues and organisations around the world. Included in its rights portfolio are the English Premier League and English Football League, as well as Spain’s La Liga, France’s Ligue 1, Italy’s Serie A and Germany’s Bundesliga among its football partners.
Away from football, Stats Perform is also partnered with various associations. Among its most recent deals is the International Cricket Council, which it announced in June. The provider also recently extended with the Women’s Tennis Association until 2030.
