Stats Perform gains exclusive rights to LatAm football data
Sports data specialist Stats Perform has been named the exclusive data provider for competitions organised the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (Conmebol), the continental governing body for football in South America.
The muti-year agreement will see Stats Perform exclusively collect and distribute official data across the Conmebol men’s, women’s and under-20 competitions. This covers events such as the Copa America, where international teams compete for the continental title; club competition the Libertadores, and Conmebol Sudamericana, another club tournament.
The deal builds on an existing partnership between Conmebol and Stats Peform, through which the suppliers holds official distribution rights to club competitions for streaming on betting services to broadcasters, sports media and for fantasy games.
This new deal, Stats Perform said, would ensure fast and reliable data was available for traders and for in-play betting.
“High quality soccer betting experiences rely on the fastest, most accurate game data and player statistics which are trusted and consistent, across all key channels,” Stats Perform head of rights acquisition Alex Rice said.
It further strengthens the supplier’s offering, which already includes official betting and media data rights for competitions such as Spain’s La Liga, France’s Ligue 1 and Major League Soccer in the US.
